Join us for Albury's fourth annual Walk4BrainCancer this October to raise much-needed funds for brain cancer research.
- Sunday 9th October 2022
- Registration from 8:00am
- 9:00am Start
- Lavington Sports Ground 1 Hanna Street, NSW Lavington
Welcome to Albury’s fourth annual Walk4BrainCancer! We will continue the tradition started in 2021, walking or running laps of Lavington Sports Ground from 9-10am.
You can walk, run, or skip as many laps as you like and we will have Bacon & Egg rolls and Coffee available from 8am. In 2021, we had 300 people attend and raised $59,000 for Cure Brain Cancer. Can we hit $60k with our incredible community this year?!
“My beautiful friend Tessa was the original inspiration for starting Albury Walk4BrainCancer. Tessa passed away in 2016 when she was just 22. She was one of the most clever, kind, and adventurous people in the world. I am lucky to have had her in my life, and am so grateful for all the fun we got to have together. It’s only because of Tessa’s inspiration to run this event that I have come to know of many other people like Tessa’ in the Albury-Wodonga community. I have loved getting to know some of these loved ones, and all of their families. Tessa didn’t deserve brain cancer. No one does. This walk is for all our loved ones who have lived with or are living with brain cancer. I cannot wait to see the sea of purple, and learn of all the reasons that this community is as passionate as I am about changing the future for people with brain cancer. ” – Sheila Smith
This year we are lucky enough to have access to a screen to honour our loved ones for whom we are walking. If you have an image of someone you would like on the screen, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Join Cure Brain Cancer Foundation as we strive to increase brain cancer survival and improve the quality of life for people living with this disease. Our community is at the core of everything we do. We won’t stop until the cancer does.
