  • Sunday 15th October 2023
  • Gates open from 8:30am
  • 9:00am start
  • Lavington Sports Ground 1 Hanna Street, NSW Lavington
  • Welcome to Albury’s fifth annual Walk4BrainCancer! We will continue the tradition started in 2021, walking or running laps of Lavington Sports Ground from 9-10am.

    On the day:

    – Entrance is via Hanna St Gate from 8.15am

    – Sadly, no dogs are allowed

    – Please remember to register BEFORE the day, no on the day registrations

You can walk, run, or skip as many laps as you like, and we will have Bacon & Egg rolls and Coffee available from 8am. Over the last 5 years we have raised over $100,000 for Cure Brain Cancer. How much can we raise within our community this year?!

We once again have access to the screen at our Lavington oval! If you wish to have someone up on the screen you would like to remember on the day or if they are there and wish to be on the big screen, then please email alburyrunwalk4braincancer@gmail.com (Please note if the image is too big, I won’t get any notification an email has been sent. If you don’t get a response from me via email, then I haven’t received it. Please in this instance message our Facebook page)

  • My beautiful friend Tessa was the original inspiration for starting Albury Walk4BrainCancer. Tessa passed away in 2016 when she was just 22. She was one of the most clever, kind, and adventurous people in the world. I am lucky to have had her in my life and am so grateful for all the fun we got to have together. It’s only because of Tessa’s inspiration to run this event that I have come to know of many other people like Tessa in the Albury-Wodonga community. I have loved getting to know some of these loved ones, and all of their families. Tessa didn’t deserve brain cancer. No one does. This walk is for all our loved ones who have lived with or are living with brain cancer. I cannot wait to see the sea of purple and learn of all the reasons that this community is as passionate as I am about changing the future for people with brain cancer.” – Sheila Smith

Join Cure Brain Cancer Foundation as we strive to increase brain cancer survival and improve the quality of life for people living with this disease. Our community is at the core of everything we do. We won’t stop until the cancer does.
