Purpose
This incentive encourages participants of Walk4BrainCancer to raise funds via their fundraising page (through the Grassrootz platform). The incentive will help to raise critical funds for brain cancer research by supporting the most innovative brain cancer research and facilitating potentially life-saving breakthroughs.
How do participants go into the draw to win?
All registered walk participants who receive an eligible donation during the Promotion Period will be in the draw to win. For each eligible donation received by a 2026 Participant during the Promotion Period, will count as one (1) entry into the prize draw for that fundraiser. There is no limit to the number of entries a fundraiser may receive — each eligible donation counts as an additional entry. Entries are automatic; no additional action is required. Cure Brain Cancer Foundation is not responsible for late, incomplete, or unsuccessful donations or entries due to technical or platform issues.
How will winners be drawn?
The winning entry will be randomly drawn at 3:00pm on 9 October 2026 AEDT and announced at the W4BC event in Canberra on the 11 October 2026. The first valid entry drawn will win a Fitbit Versa 4, valued at $378. The winner will also be notified by email or phone that is associated with their registration. If the winner cannot be contacted within 5 days of the announcement at the Canberra event, or is not eligible to receive the prize, Cure Brain Cancer Foundation may redraw a new winner. The winner’s name may be published on the website and social media channels. By entering, you consent to this disclosure.
The minimum age of participants
The Day of Action Donation raffle is open to all ages. If winner is under the age of 18 years, parent/ guardian will be notified of win.
Liability
The prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the winner is unable to use the prize. The prize is not exchangeable or redeemable for cash or other goods or services. Cure Brain Cancer Foundation will not be liable for any loss damage or personal injury (including but not limited to direct, indirect and consequential loss) suffered or sustained in the connection with this competition, the promotion of this competition or the use of any prize. The Cure Brain Cancer Foundation does not accept responsibility for any defects, faults, or issues with any item once it has been delivered to the winner.
Privacy statement
Cure Brain Cancer Foundation collects walk participants’ information via the Grassrootz fundraising platform and abides by the privacy collection statement and conditions of data collection set out on the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation and Grassrootz website. By entering the Promotion, you agree that Cure Brain Cancer Foundation may use your personal information to administer the prize draw. Only the winner’s first name and initial may be publicly disclosed.
